Artist Statement

My work as a semi-abstract painter and sculptor is deeply rooted in my personal experiences with PTSD and EUPD, as well as my ongoing journey of healing. I explore themes of trauma, resilience, and transformation through the interplay of neutral and natural tones, which evoke a sense of grounding and connection to the earth.

Gold lines are a recurring element in my art, symbolising the process of mending—of finding strength and beauty in the broken. Inspired by the Japanese philosophy of kintsugi, these golden accents highlight the scars left by pain and serve as a testament to the power of embracing imperfection and reclaiming wholeness.

My paintings and sculptures are not just reflections of my personal struggles but are also spaces where viewers can find their own stories. They invite contemplation, offering moments of stillness, vulnerability, and hope amidst life’s chaos. Through my art, I seek to communicate that healing is not about erasing wounds but honouring them as part of a larger, ongoing journey.
